Microneedling Therapy is a minimally-invasive, rejuvenating treatment that can help you achieve smoother, more youthful-looking skin. This cutting-edge procedure involves the use of tiny, sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin's surface. These controlled injuries stimulate the body's natural healing processes, resulting in a range of remarkable benefits for your skin.

Downtime for this treatment varies and depends on your concerns, hormones, environment and more. Most people can resume every day activities within a day or two but redness can last up to 7-10 days.

FAQ

What areas can be treated?
Microneedling can be done on all parts of the body, including the: face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

What is the downtime?

Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. The total healing time will vary based on a number of factors, like hormones and your own unique skin composition, current climate, concerns being treated, etc. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some patients notice reduced redness in as little as 24 hours. You will most likely experience slight dryness and possible texture for a couple days as your skin heals.

When will I see results?

Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues.

How many treatments will I need?

Some patients will only do 1 session per year to maintain results and skin health. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-8 weeks apart (depending on concerns).

What should I keep in mind for post care?

  • Use only gentle skincare and pat your skin dry after cleansing using a clean towel.

  • It is recommended make-up is not applied for at least 12 hours (longer is better, if you can get away with it).

  • SPF must be used following the treatment and you should limit sun exposure.

  • Do not touch the area immediately after treatment

  • It is not recommended that you any type oof heat or sweating for a minimum of 24 hours.

Does it hurt?

Your technician will apply a topical lidocaine prior to starting the treatment to ensure it is as comfortable as possible. However the brow area and the upper lip are slightly more sensitive to treat.
